The North Carolina Association of Governmental Purchasing (NCAGP) is committed to the ongoing professional development of its members representing the purchasing departments of state, county, municipal and educational agencies. NCAGP supports public procurement professionals in North Carolina through the Certified Local Government Purchasing Officer (CLGPO) certification, providing education, networking and other opportunities for professional growth.

Certification Maintenance

  • CLGPO Certification must be renewed every five years.
  • Recertification applications are accepted by November 1st, the calendar year in which certification expires.
  • To be recertified, the candidate must be a member in good standing of NCAGP.
  • Candidates must earn 10 certification points during each five-year period.
